Charles Kohlhase (right) and Richard Spehalski (left) present an award to Planetary Society volunteer Joseph Oliver, who gave 334 hours of his time over several months to help collect, sort, and scan signatures arriving from around the world for transfer to the DVD that would be carried to Saturn by the huge robotic Cassini spacecraft. The full "Signatures from Earth" story may be found on pages 18 and 19 in the March 1999 issue of Smithsonian Air and Space Magazine. Spehalski was the Cassini Program Manager, and Kohlhase was the Cassini Science and Mission Design Manager. More about the Cassini mission may be found at http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/cassini/
