Homage to Pietrasanta, executed in Rosa Portogallo Marble.
Pietrasanta is the Mecca for marble carvers who come to Italy to carve the most beautiful marble.
This sculpture was created to commemorate my 20th summer workshop. It depicts the archway at the entrance to the town square with the view of the bell tower and the church. In the background is the crenellated wall that surrounds the 13th century city that was the summer place of the Medici's.
